Todays appliances are better than many of the older non Energy Star appliances But the can still need managing. However it is the smaller appliances such as Digital Photo Frames, All the Chargers for cell phones, Ipods, and so many other chargers of our battery hungry electronics.

Even many items that we have in our house that just sit as long as they are pluged in use electricity. Vcr's, Disk Players, so much more, that in a month they add up. if your bill is higher than you like make sure that things not being used are un pluged, as long as they do not lose their programing, and have to be reprogramed, or put them on a plug in that has a switch that can be turned off.
